The recent announcement regarding LifeScan's decision to leave the hospital glucose market does not impact TELCOR customers using the Quick-Linc/QML system or interface to the Laboratory Information System (LIS). TELCOR is the only point of care middleware vendor with connections to ALL of the glucose vendors (Abbott, Hemocue, LifeScan, Nova and Roche) and will work with each of its LifeScan customers to make a smooth transition to a new glucose vendor.

Together, you will map out options for the decisions your facility faces between now and 2013. As a TELCOR customer, your TELCOR middleware and LIS interface investments are protected. You are partnered with a company that has more than 1,200 hospitals interfacing results every day, has the most diverse point of care customer base, is employee owned and profitable and reinvests millions of dollars annually back into the products and infrastructure.

TELCOR leads the industry with the widest array of point of care configuration options and connectivity to the most Point of Care Testing (POCT) devices and LIS/EMR systems. TELCOR’s point of care software is developed utilizing the latest technology and open architecture, allowing for greater flexibility during implementation and the ability to rapidly develop connectivity to any new POCT devices, with over 80 device type connections already developed. This allows hospitals to continue to grow their POCT program without restrictions. The open architecture also allows device type drivers to be replaced easily, which means there will be no interruption to TELCOR customers’ middleware systems and LIS interfaces when they switch glucose vendors.
