TELCOR Outreach Information System® v12.5
Lincoln, Nebraska – August 19, 2010 –TELCOR Inc announces the release of version 12.5 of the Billing Information System.
Features of version 12.5 include:
- Automated Bad Debt Transfer – To promote workflow efficiency, account amounts can be automatically transferred to bad debt based upon customer defined rules. If the eligible amount is less than required for bad debt then the amount will optionally process through small balance write-off.
- Automated Bad Debt Write-Off – To further streamline workflow, this automatic process allows outstanding bad debt account amounts to be written off based upon customer defined rules.
- Daily AR Snapshot – To allow management to track variances in AR on a daily basis, quickly and easily, a new inquiry function allows review of daily changes in AR, a snapshot of revenue, payments, adjustments, refunds, interest and amounts transferred to bad debt and the ending AR balance for the day.
- Account AR Aging – (renamed from Account Financial Class Aging) This has been enhanced to allow the AR balance of a selected period to be utilized instead of only current AR views. Additionally, new sort and filters have been added to allow a user to perform account AR analysis by client, region, territory, location, financial class category, procedure, performing lab, sales representative and more.
- This function was also enhanced to provide the ability to perform analysis by Service Date (instead of only Post Date). This allows customers to make management estimates for "collectability" of certain receivables based upon the age from Date of Service.
- Revenue Inquiry – This has been enhanced to allow customers to inquire on either ‘billed’ revenue or ‘expected revenue’ based on expected reimbursement defined for a payer (new) or Financial Class. Additionally, this function was totally redesigned to give the customer the power to select the sorts, filters and columns displayed. The user can select client, region, territory, financial class category, procedure, performing lab, payer, sales representative and more.
- This function was also enhanced to provide the ability to perform analysis by Service Date and whether to include procedure quantity with the data retrieval.
- Account Attention Levels –The application can now use customer defined account attention levels to allow additional flexibility in managing patient accounts, e.g., exclude from the collection process, patient on payment plan, failed benefit eligibility check, claims in appeal process.
- Account On Hold Processing – This was enhanced to allow the customer to define the automatic expiration of the claim or statement hold.
- Patient Statements, Client Invoices and Client Notifications – These now allow an Alternate Company address to be used when the primary company billing address is not preferred.
- Patient Statements – To provide additional customer controls for generation of patient statements, the Scheduler has been enhanced to provide options to select eligible patients based on Last Name – alphabetic ranges.
- On Demand Patient Statements – Statement can be generated 'on demand' for a guarantor for account transactions.
- Account Notes – Account notes have been enhanced to allow attachments, spell-check and predefined notes to be used.
- Sales Tax for Client Invoices – Sales tax can be configured and assigned to applicable clients and automatically calculated and presented on Notifications and Invoices. To facilitate management of the sales tax liablity, a Sales Tax Inquiry function will allow selection and display by tax item and date range.
- Net Revenue - The application was enhanced to allow Contractual Adjustments to be made at the time transactions are posted so outstanding AR projects expected cash flow. Upon remittance the automatic adjustment will be reversed and the actual payer contractual adjustment applied, so that any nominal differences between automatic vs. actual contractual adjustment are efficiently adjudicated.
- Automatic Adjustments - The application will allow transactions to be automatically adjusted (written off) at the time of posting to allow the tracking of courtesy financial classes with no manual intervention.
- Daily Mileage Log - A new Workqueue will facilitate mileage calculations and allow Units to be applied to procedures with a type of mileage, based upon daily mileage.
- Document Management Interface - This allows easy access to scanned documents from the TELCOR application.
